Dear Brawley Elementary School District Community,

As we conclude the 2023-2024 school year and prepare to embark on the 2024-2025 school year, I am filled with immense pride and excitement. Entering my third year as Superintendent of Brawley Elementary School District, I am honored to serve a community that is dedicated, resilient, and committed to excellence.

This upcoming school year is particularly special as we celebrate the opening of Padilla-Pace Middle School and the transition of Barbara Worth Junior High into a middle school. These new additions mark a significant milestone in our district's journey, and I am thrilled about the opportunities they will provide for our students, staff, and families.

Our focus for the 24-25 school year will be fostering an inclusive environment and enhancing family and community engagement through our Community Schools Partnership Grant. We believe that every student deserves to feel valued and supported, and we are committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere where diversity is celebrated, and everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

We understand that strong family and community involvement is crucial to the success of our students. This year, we will continue to build on our partnerships, encouraging active participation from families and community members. Your support and involvement are vital in creating a nurturing and supportive educational environment.

Our dedicated teachers, SEL Team, classified staff and administrative team are the backbone of our district. Their passion, expertise, and commitment to our students’ success are truly inspiring. We will continue to invest in professional development and provide the necessary resources to empower our educators and administrators to deliver the highest quality education.

With the opening of our new middle schools, we are excited to continue to offer expanded academic and extracurricular programs. These programs are designed to cater to the diverse interests and talents of our students, providing them with opportunities to explore, grow, and excel both inside and outside the classroom.  We will also continue to expand our after school programs and athletics through our partnership with ARC and our amazing ASES staff.

Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment will remain our top priority. We are committed to implementing measures that promote the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our students. By fostering a culture of respect and kindness, we aim to create a space where every student feels secure and empowered to reach their full potential.

As we look forward to the 2024-2025 school year, I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Together, we will continue to build a strong, inclusive, and engaged community that supports the success of every student.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. I am confident that, with our collective efforts, we will make this school year a remarkable and inspiring one.

Sincerely,

Rauna Fox
